Thought I'd come in to say hi. I have been a Republican most of my political life. But, I do not consder myself a conservative. I consider myself a constitutionalist.
Last primary, I supported Ron Paul.
Republican registrations have taken a nose-dive in the past couple decades. Why? I believe it's because Republicans in office do not abide by Republican ideals as expressed in the platform.
In the first two years of the Bush Administration, Republicans held both houses of Congress. They outspent any Congress before it. They have increased the size of Government, gave the executive branch unprecedented power to spy on the American people. In other words, they acted more like liberal Democrats that what Republicans are supposed to be.
We need a forum on how to restore the Republican Party.

Oh, and by the way, I now support Sarah Palin. But, even so called conservatives are attacking her. I suggest they stop. If she left the Republican Party and ran for President as an Independent, that would pretty much bury the Republican Party.

` Hello all., I'll start by giving fair warning that I have A LOT of problems with much of what I hear from many self described republicans/conservatives and expect plenty of sparks to fly. I do come with an open mind, think I play fair and disagreement or no, I treat others like decent human beings until he/she earns otherwise and I'll expect no less. Primarily interested in exploring areas of common ground then uniting to tell those we elect, This is what WE want.
