I am fairly well read and can converse intelligently on almost any subject. I am also an experienced debater. Politics is a passion of mine, although I do not ascribe to the two-party false dichotomy/Hegelian dialectic. I am a TRUE CONSERVATIVE, a paleocon like Pat Buchanan, but I am a registered Independent, not a Republican.

Activities that I enjoy include bicycling, working out, gourmet cooking, and anything to do with equines -- just being in their presence gives me inner peace. During childhood I played the piano and flute and am thinking of resuming the former. Skeet shooting and playing golf are two things I have always wanted to take up.
I work in the medical field and currently telecommute, which affords me the luxury of schedule flexibility for traveling.
I am a rusty gourmet cook so can whip something up in the kitchen but also enjoy dining out. Favorite cuisines include Vietnamese, Thai, Greek, Indian, Cajun, Tex Mex, and Italian, but like most Americans I like pizza, burgers, and BBQ.
I am a half-city, half-country girl, enjoying the opera and the symphony but my soul is at peace in buccolic/pastoral settings.
I am fairly well rounded and up for just about anything. About the only things that I don't do are dance and snow ski (on ski trips I ice skate).
I love animals, especially dogs, cats, horses, goats, and cows. My two roommates are felines, so Mr. Right will need to like cats.
I am looking for an honest conservative gentleman for dating and/or long-term commitment and/or marriage. He should be savvy and know how to treat a lady. Intelligence, however, is the top criterion on my list.
